Crayfish in the Bay of Islands
A lot of people flock to the Bay of Islands for vacation. Adventure and relaxation in one - fishing, snorkelling and diving are all popular thanks to the bay's marine life.
The Red Lobster or Crayfish is a prized catch - they hide in rocky crevices and reefs throughout the Bay. Diving for them is a Kiwi tradition, and on calmer days our crew can point out the most likely spots.
On The Rock
If we're lucky enough to catch one (subject to season and conditions), there's no better way to finish a day on the water than fresh crayfish on the back deck as the sun goes down.
