A time to spend with loved ones — to enjoy their company, to listen to their thoughts, talk about their expectations, and share a laugh. The vastness of the ocean and the mountain backdrop of the Bay of Islands relieves stress and puts you into a mild meditative state. Listening to the ocean waves rolling in and out reduces distress and creates a sense of calm.

The ocean therapy effect — thought to be stronger than any medication — is proven to increase mental alertness, build self-esteem, and decrease loneliness. Whether you're swimming in the ocean, walking in the sand, or hiking to the top of an island, the Bay of Islands offers endless opportunities.

Guests from around the world joined us from the port of Paihia to our overnight anchorage at Electric Bay. Day two brought the island visit at Waewaetores passage — activities included kayaking, snorkelling, dusk fishing, target shooting, and paddle-boarding.

A memorable cruising experience — just enough to make a person forget the past and focus on what lies ahead.
